A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Before becoming a celebrant, for 30 years I worked in sports coaching, tutoring and assessing. The lower age range I worked with were babies aged from 8 weeks old, and their parents/guardians. At the higher age range, I worked with adults in their oldest years, some aged 105!
My sport was gymnastics so with the lower age range we worked on introducing movement and their holistic development and with the higher age range I ran classes of ‘brain gymnastics’, including working with those living with dementia.
Through my years of working in sport I have delivered to many audiences, including presenting at large conferences, being interviewed on the radio and being filmed in action, as an example of best practice as a tutor. I have met so many different people along this journey, giving me great interpersonal skills and firing my passion for working with people.
"Jane was amazing from start to finish. When she came to meet us she was so warm and caring, making it easy to share our stories... I will be forever grateful to Jane for her role in the whole process and how patient and supportive she was."

SKILLSET
I hold the highest UK qualifications by National Qualification Level 3 Diploma in both Funeral, and Couples and Naming Celebrancy, accredited by the National Open College Network (NOCN). The company through whom I trained have been rated by Ofsted as an ‘Outstanding Provider’ and hold the Matrix Accreditation for the continuous advice and guidance they provide.
Why I became a celebrant
I decided to train as a celebrant when, sadly I had my own disappointment with a ceremony written and delivered for me. I realised I had the skillset to improve this experience for others and felt a strong intrinsic motivation to do this. I wrote and read the eulogy at my own father’s funeral.
After the ceremony, someone came up to me and said how much they had enjoyed hearing my dad’s life story and that I presented it perfectly. It was this person that first sowed the seed for me training to be a celebrant.
What is a celebrant?
A celebrant is a person who constructs and delivers a bespoke and personalised ceremony to fulfil the needs of their client/s. A celebrant is not bound by legal wording or restrictions so can craft your ceremony to your preferences and can often bring more personalised content into the script making your event special and memorable to you and your guests.
How I can support you
I am a people person, in favour of face-to-face contact as early as possible. I am skilled at building rapport, enabling me to be supportive of your needs and wishes. I am approachable and accommodating, ensuring a personalised touch to every ceremony I create. I am regularly described as a good listener who is organised and reliable.
"I 100% recommend her for any occasion and won’t hesitate to contact her if I need a celebrant in the future!"
